I love being around affirming and supportive people who have a sense of humor. People who are searching and open to communication, people who are excellent listeners as well as speakers, people who are loving and compassionate, spiritual people who remind me of my own spiritual self and path. People whose very presence raises my consciousness. . . people who inspire me.

I was looking for a community of like minded seekers and finders, teachers and students, .. people to network with in order to manifest my desires.

I personally am more affected by emotion on many things. I find that my heart reacts often times faster than my mind. I have to take an extra minute to pause in some situations lest I react based on emotion which at times is not the wisest thing for me to do.
Sometimes I feel like Storm from the X-Men when she said, "I must forever keep my powers in check, lest they run amok."
I have always been a very feeling person. . .
ENFP/INFP
and I embrace that side of me. I am not seeking to be a Mr. Spock or unfeeling Jedi. . .
I know the value in my emotions; I just am mindful to temper them with reason and wisdom.

In order to answer the two questions you posed about love "What does it mean to love someone? and What does love mean to you? " I have to say that love is all there is and that God is love.
That being said, to be in love means to be connected to Spirit. To see and be aligned with Spirit in the other person.
When we decide to acknowledge that we are all connected by Spirit just as we all breathe the same oxygen then war will end.
Loving someone means you see Spirit in them and you acknowledge that connection.
We erroneously say things like being in love, falling in love, etc as if that type of love (Erotic love EROS) is different from other forms of love AGAPE, PHILIA, STORGE....
Love is Love... the divisions are as pointless as the denominations that many churches have created... there is but one God, Source, Spirit, Universe. . . no matter what you call the church, temple, mosque... it is one Divine power and it is Love.

My father had served time in jail and as a result became a very "mindful" person in many ways... I almost liken him to the character on the NBC show "Life."
I believe my father's lessons to me sparked my being a thinker.
That then evolved as a result of watching David Carradine on the "Kung Fu" television series, my studies in the martial arts and the eventual study of Zen, mysticism, psychology, etc.
Many of the lessons I had in my head did not awaken until much later in my life. the seeds were there awaiting the time to break the surface of the ground.
I was a different thinker throughout school. . . was not the typical Jr. high-schooler.
And thus not the typical Senior high student either.
I was always on a slightly different vibe from my peers per se. . .
But to answer your question:
How did you learn to really think for yourself? By doing it as a result of lessons taught, books read, wisdom gleaned from life.
and when? Mid 70s maybe.. but really eye-opening in 1995!!

What was the last most memorable meal you had? Thanksgiving
With whom did you share it? My mother, one brother and his girlfriend, two nephews, a niece in law and great niece and one brother via the phone (during the prayer) What made it so wonderful? Thanksgiving is the one holiday that I go home to be with family.
This particular thanksgiving was even more significant because I was in harmony and did not play into the usual family dynamics and negative energy.
I was like a distant observer seeing it all occurring before it occurred and so was able to avoid the pitfalls of the yearly traditions.... being able to do that made the "Thanks" even more of a blessing.
I was able to be more loving towards them and plant seeds of love rather than do as I have done years past... become angry, confused, hostile, and physically distant as I cut them off.
I was able to honor my family with love this year and that made the meal a hundred times more delicious and nourishing!

Tough question. . . I have thought about this question several times before. Hmm
If I had to leave the country in which I am currently living (which is home) where would I choose to live instead? Either Japan or China are my first two choices.
Why?
There are several things I love about the culture. (not to mention my love of the martial arts).
I still intend to visit them one day....

I would want to learn to have total faith in Spirit and my connection to Spirit.
To send forth an intention and to know it is manifesting as I desire it to.
To master the Law of Attraction (and the other spiritual laws).
I guess though technically I am learning them each day.. in essence. (smile)

Well I currently have a SHORT cut that is at times shaved bald. . .I use to have braids halfway down my back but grew weary of the time it took to undo, wash, condition, and redo them....
Sometimes I miss them but I think the current look serves me well. lol
The photo is not the best but give you an idea of the braids at one time. . .

Wow, challenging one to answer. . .as I am a multi-sensory individual.
I am very visual - as an artist, user of American Sign Language, performer or ASL performance art.
I am very auditory - I love music and listen to music quite often, for meditation, relaxing, workingout, martial arts, when I draw, read. . . music is very much a part of my life.
I am very tactile - I love the feel of my paint brushes in hand, the feeling of my canvas or sculpting materials as I mold the human figure, I love the feeling of fabrics that I wear or use to drape a model. I am also affectionate and love to hug, caress, and touch.
My olfaction or olfactics are also of importance in my life. I am very into burning incense, scented candles, colognes, aroma therapy.
I guess my taste buds are the only one thus far that do not per se play into my spiritual development or should I say as major on as the other senses.. though I do love to savor a nice piece of chocolate or vanilla ice cream or a warm cup of cocoa.
Of course my spiritual or intuitive sense is interwoven with the other five physical senses.
I cannot pick any one as the major one....as they all affect me in pretty significant ways.

I am at most times adaptive depending on what I desire to do. I can and have risen early and functioned well and I have been up late and done the same. I have certain preferences though depending on what I must do.
If I am painting or drawing - I prefer early morning.
Working out - late morning
Reading - Afternoon
Homework - morning or afternoon
Martial arts - afternoon, evening, or night
Riding my bike - evening, late night
It is all relative for me. . .
I know people who are strictly morning or night people and I sort of feel for them because they seem unable or unwilling to adapt and make the thing they abhor work for them.
When I taught public school and had to be at work around 6 am, I really did not like it BUT I made it work for me and for the students and was labeled as the teacher with crazy energy!
I did the same when I taught night courses at college.
Make it work. . .
I love life and so enjoy it all morning and night
